I'm in a new exhibition at the Bath Royal Literary and Scientific Institute ( BRLSI ) until 8th November; it is Bath Artist Printmakers 30th Anniversary show, and looks fantastic! Here's the BRLSI link:
There are about 80 works on show, plus four wood engravings by Anne Desmet, a world-renowned master of the method.
I am giving a demonstration of mezzotinting at 12.30 on Thursday 6th, after a talk from our president Rosemary Simmons ( founder and former editor of Printmaking Today magazine ).
See you there!
These are the two images I have on show: this is 'Another Place 1', a small mezzotint in sepia on Somerset Soft White 300gsm ( my favourite intaglio paper )
and this is 'Neighbourhood Watch', an A4 linocut on Shoji paper.
Here are some photos from the show itself:
I'm Phil, making prints from whatever pops up in my head and won't go away.
